We encourage pupils at Ysgol Bwlchgwyn to wear their uniform with pride as it demonstrates that they are part of the school community.  We have high expectations from our pupils with regards to school uniform and appearance, and strongly believe that our high standards promote positive behaviour, equality, supports effective teaching and learning and contributes to the ethos of the school.  We offer a dedicated uniform supplier but also provide recycling and non branded uniform options to ensure that our requirements are equitable and inclusive.

SCHOOL UNIFORM - We encourage all our children to wear their school uniform smartly. All items of uniform must be labelled with your child’s name. It consists of the following:

• Maroon sweatshirt/cardigan with school logo
• White polo shirt with school logo
• Polo shirts/ sweatshirts without Logos are permitted
• Grey trousers/skirt
• Red and white gingham summer dress/grey shorts
• Sensible, black flat shoes (high heels not permitted) 

PE KIT - We require that our pupils change for PE activities. They need an appropriately labelled PE kit consisting of the following:

• Trainers / plimsolls
• White, round neck T-shirt with or without school logo
• Black shorts
• Black or blue tracksuit/joggers for outdoor games in cold weather

PE kit should be brought to school on Monday mornings and only taken home on Fridays. This will allow flexibility for their class teacher.

We offer a number of Ysgol Bwlchgwn embroidered uniform items which can be purchased directly from our supplier, Goodies.

We ask parents to ensure their child/ren's name is on all belongings, either in written form or by way of labels. Bwlchgwyn School's PTA is registered with My Nametags where parents can order personalised name tags (either sew-on or iron-on).
